      <image:title>Ray Bio - Ray Arreguin</image:title>
<image:caption>After graduating from Ohio University in 2011 with a doctorate in physical therapy, he and Kana moved west. The next 11 years were spent immersing himself in training from some of the best physical therapists and mentors in the region. He became a board-certified orthopedic specialist in 2014. In 2019, he became a certified orthopedic manual therapist as well as a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (AAOMPT) through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT). In recent years, he has stepped into the world of breath work by training through both Breathe Your Truth and The Oxygen Advantage. Prior to Wildwood Physical Therapy, Ray served as an orthopedic residency instructor, mentor, and mentorship director for the largest physical therapist-owned company in the country. His treatment interests include orthopedic dysfunctions from the neck to the foot and ankle and everything in between. He especially enjoys challenging issues of the spine, both acute and chronic. Patients benefiting from his breath work range from those with chronic pain, asthma, anxiety, and sleep apnea to elite and recreational athletes. You will find his approach to be comprehensive, efficient, and focused on you. Each session with Ray will be one-on-one for 55-60 minutes.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Breath Work - Breath Work</image:title>
<image:caption>Breathing dysfunctions can exist and contribute to a variety of conditions. This includes sleep apnea, asthma, anxiety, high stress, and chronic musculoskeletal pain. In all scenarios, dysfunctional breath limits you from realizing your full potential. The focus of this work centers around a tolerance for carbon dioxide, which controls the pH of the blood and, in turn, controls how efficiently your body operates. Believe it or not, carbon dioxide is not just a waste gas. We measure carbon dioxide in real time during treatment using the capnotrainer. Ray will update and modify your exercises and focus based on a number of readings. For recreational and elite athletes, we focus on optimizing performance by not only getting the most out of your recovery but also simulating high-altitude training.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Post-Op Rehab - Post-Op Rehabilitation</image:title>
<image:caption>Post-operative rehabilitation focuses on getting you back to yourself after surgery. The rehabilitation process can differ depending on the surgery and the intended protocol your surgeon wants you to follow. In general, it can look like the following: The initial phase focuses on allowing the repaired tissues to heal while promoting gentle movement. Phase two transitions into allowing the body to relearn natural movement. The third and final phase focuses on regaining full strength, balance and flexibility to return to sport or work. Examples of surgeries requiring post-op therapy include: Rotator cuff and labral repairs of the shoulder Spinal surgeries of the neck and low back Total hip, knee, and ankle replacements Labral repairs of the hip Knee meniscectomies and meniscal repairs ACL reconstructions of the knee Achilles tendon reconstruction Arthroscopies of the shoulder, hip, knee, or ankle Internal fixations of fractures</image:caption>

<image:caption>Pain is considered chronic if it has existed for 3 months or more despite medical care and treatment (excluding rehabilitation from a surgery). Chronic pain can arise from a known injury, or can develop gradually over time. At Wildwood Physical Therapy, treatment is often multi-faceted. This can include uncovering previously untreated areas that continue to contribute to the pain, developing a safe exercise plan, as well as breath work to reduce anxiety and tension surrounding the pain.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Nerve Pain - Nerve Pain</image:title>
<image:caption>While vertebral and disc injuries often heal over time, the associated nerves can be slower to recover. When a nerve becomes irritated or injured, adhesions and inflammation can develop anywhere along its pathway. Nerves may also be affected following abdominal or pelvic surgeries, including cesarean sections, fibroid removal, hysterectomy, or laparoscopic procedures for endometriosis. Nerve irritation does not always present as sharp pain, numbness, or tingling. It can manifest as chronic tightness or stiffness in a muscle or region that does not respond to conventional stretching or strengthening exercises. Sciatic nerve irritation may present as pain or tightness in the buttock, down the back of the leg, or into the calves. Lumbar plexus or anterior nerve irritation can cause discomfort in the lower abdomen, groin, and front or inner thighs. Kana Arreguin specializes in peripheral nerve decompression, a highly effective technique that reduces adhesions and inflammation along the nerve pathway. This treatment improves mobility and joint function along the nerve’s course, making subsequent stretching and strengthening exercises more effective and comfortable.</image:caption>

<image:title>Breast Cancer Rehabiliation - Breast Cancer Rehabilitation and Lymphedema</image:title>
<image:caption>Surgery and radiation can lead to restrictions in fascia, joints, muscles, and nerves. Manual therapy, including gentle tissue mobilization, can be highly effective in restoring range of motion and functional mobility. In some cases, exercise and stretching alone may not provide relief if these tissue restrictions remain. Once the restrictions are addressed through manual therapy, stretching and strengthening programs often become more effective and comfortable. For patients experiencing lymphedema as a result of treatment, manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a well-established technique to reduce swelling. Lymphedema may be localized to the breast or extend into the trunk and arm. Even after completing physical therapy following breast cancer treatment, lingering tightness around the chest or into the axilla can limit mobility and cause discomfort. Targeted manual therapy can help restore range of motion, alleviate pain, and improve overall function. Kana only treats lymphedema that is related to breast cancer treatment. <image:title>Postpartum - Postpartum</image:title>
<image:caption>Women often receive insufficient support during the postpartum period. Guidance regarding pelvic floor recovery after vaginal delivery, scar management following cesarean birth, and overall musculoskeletal care after childbirth is frequently lacking. Targeted interventions—such as mobilization of cesarean or perineal scar tissue, decompression of irritated nerves, and visceral manipulation—can significantly enhance recovery and promote more efficient healing during the postpartum phase.</image:caption>
